Carlos Pedraza
Carlos Pedraza is a writer and co-executive producer for Star Trek: New Voyages, and one of the creators of the forthcoming spin-off series, Star Trek: First Voyages. Before joining the New Voyages crew as an associate producer in 2005, Carlos was the staff writer and one of the producers of Star Trek: Hidden Frontier,” the longest-running fan-produced science fiction series on the Internet. Over the course of three seasons, he wrote 13 of that series’ 50 episodes, and charted the storylines for the final two seasons.

David Gerrold, writer of Star Trek’s most famous episode, “The Trouble with Tribbles,” authorized Carlos to rewrite his famous unproduced Star Trek: The Next Generation script, “Blood and Fire,” for production in June 2007 by New Voyages. Carlos’ work has been featured in the New York Times, Variety, NBC’s Today Show, Countdown on MSNBC, ABC News, the Columbia News Service, and the BBC.

Carlos is a former Associated Press writer, deputy press secretary for the Governor of Washington, teacher, consultant and trainer for nonprofit organizations throughout the United States. He lives in Seattle.

Carlos has previously appeared as a fan guest of honor at the Arisia and Gaylaxicon scifi conventions, and as a guest at the SF Ball in the United Kingdom and at the United States’ largest scifi convention, Dragon*Con, in 2005, 2006, and 2007.
